Congressman Lee Zeldin Endorses Garbarino for Congress

SAYVILLE, NY – Today Congressman Lee Zeldin (NY-01) proudly endorsed Andrew Garbarino’s re-election campaign for congress. This endorsement comes as Congressman Garbarino’s campaign reported having more than $1.1 million dollars in cash on hand after the 4th quarter.

“Having had the opportunity to serve alongside Andrew in Albany and Washington I’ve seen first hand his ability to deliver results for working class Long Islanders,” said Congressman Lee Zeldin. “I endorse Congressman Garbarino’s re-election due to his strong support of law enforcement, hard work on behalf of our nation’s veterans, and valuable partnership in the House of Representatives.”

In 2014, Congressman Zeldin was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing New York’s First Congressional District. He currently serves on the House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs Committees in Congress. Lee spent four years on Active Duty with the U.S. Army after completing ROTC and serving in different capacities, including as a Military Intelligence Officer, Prosecutor, and Military Magistrate. He is still a member of the Army Reserve, where he serves with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

“I am honored to have Congressman Zeldin’s strong endorsement for re-election to Congress,” said Congressman Andrew Garbarino. “Lee continues to serve our nation as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve, and has been a trusted partner in Congress fighting for our law enforcement, veterans, seniors, and working class Long Island families. I look forward to continuing to work with him when he is elected Governor of New York in 2022.”

Congressman Garbarino was first elected to Congress in 2020 in a hotly contested race to succeed retiring Congressman Peter King. The former private attorney and New York State Assemblyman is a member of the House Homeland Security and Small Business Committees. He resides in Bayport, NY.
