Congressman Garbarino Will Continue Representing New York’s 2nd Congressional District In The 118th Congress
SAYVILLE, NY – Tonight, Congressman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY-02) was declared the winner of the race to represent New York’s 2nd Congressional District in Congress, with a overwhelming majority of voters in support of his re-election.
“Thank you to the people of New York’s Second District for once again voting to send me to Congress to fight for Long Island values. We have accomplished so much together over these last two years, but there is so much more work to do, starting with securing healthcare for our 9/11 first responders and ending the unjustifiable SALT deduction cap,” Congressman Garbarino said. “The voters have spoken and their message is clear – Americans are sick of one party rule in Washington. They are sick of living through crisis after crisis brought on by failed policies. Next year’s Republican majority is going to get our country back on track by curbing inflation, revitalizing domestic energy production to bring down gas prices, and improving public safety by empowering law enforcement to address rising crime and secure our border. That is our commitment to America and that is my commitment to the people of Long Island.”
Congressman Garbarino was first elected to Congress in 2020 in a hotly contested race to succeed retiring Congressman Peter King. With this victory, Garbarino will return to Washington for a second term and serve in the 118th Congress as the most senior member of the Long Island Congressional Delegation. He resides in Bayport, NY.
